The Most Delicious & Nutrient Packed Oil on the Planet!
Pumpkin Seeds are a recognized Superfood for several reasons. It was recognized and revered by the Ancient Greeks, Aztecs, and American Indians for its many beneficial properties.
The oil pressed from the the seeds is also a Superfood or SuperOil. That too has been recognized and valued for hundreds of years.
In addition to numerous nutrients, pumpkin seed oil contains substantial amounts of two Phyto-Sterols that naturally block the formation of DHT. DHT is dihydrotestosterone, it is a breakdown product of testosterone that has some negative effects on various tissues of the body. Most notably it is believed to be the primary culprit in shutting down hair follicles leading to male pattern baldness and hair loss in general. It also has a detrimental impact on the prostate gland causing it to become enlarged (benign prostatic hyperplasia).
Consuming and applying pumpkin seed oil topically has been reported to help with both of these conditions, however, no claims are being made for such. This is simply provided for educational and informational purposes.
The bottom line is that Pumpkin Seed Oil is Great for your overall Health, your Skin, and your Hair!
Something that is vital to know about oils is that they are heat and light sensitive. Most oil presses used today are expeller or screw presses. They are very efficient at pressing oil BUT they produce a great deal of heat via friction in the process. We DO NOT use that type of press. We use a Hydraulic press and the temperature never exceeds 80-90 degrees F.
We immediately place the oil in opaque containers to avoid photodegradation. That, together with our true cold-press process means that you will get the highest quality, un-damaged oil made anywhere.
